Bartling Place Residential Care Service
"Yallambee" commenced operation of Bartling Place
(formerly Traralgon and District Private Nursing Home) from 1st March 1998 after
its first 18 years of private operation. The home provides extended (high) care
to residents by trained and / or professionally qualified Nursing staff on a 24
hour basis.
While appropriate nursing care with support and encouragement
in a communal setting is the priority, residents, relatives and friends are encouraged
to visit at any time and to participate in activities provided and assist in the
care of their resident, including meal times, both within and external to the
facility.
There are a number of four and two bed rooms with two
single rooms designated for special needs. Residents are encouraged to bring familiar
or sentimental items with them to add to the feeling of being home
Fees - Residential Care
The fees payable by residents are fully regulated by the Commonwealth
Government and consist of a base fee which is retained to meet operation costs
and may include an income tested amount which is offset against the subsidy entitlement
otherwise receivable. The daily amount payable may be increased by an Accommodation
Bond (Low Care Assessment) which is, at the residents option, to be paid wholly
or in part, as provided by the legislation, on a periodic basis rather than a
lump sum, or, an Accommodation charge (High Care Assessment); both are subject
to a resident's "ability to pay". Access to Residential Care is in no
way restricted because of any financial incapacity. See the Finance Page(s) for
more detailed information.
