Earlier this month Yallambee were lucky enough to receive another benevolent grant from our supporters at the Traralgon Masonic Lodge. This grant was for a total of $5,000 and has supported us to purchase two state of the art pressure area care mattresses.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Executive Team, staff and residents we would like to express our thanks for their generous donation and ongoing support. We would like to specifically thank the following members: Vic Allaway, Henry Dunstone, Max Paulet, Col Fleming, Ralph Greenough, Jim Hood, Keith Ridley, Stuart Hill & Master of Lodge Terry Miller.
Our new mattresses are the ultimate option in preventative pressure area care for residents that are the highest risk of developing pressure injuries. With residents coming into care much frailer and with multiple co-morbidities and associated health risks, the need for specialised equipment like these pressure area care mattresses has become vital. The equipment is already being well used and providing much needed relief and comfort for our residents.
Yallambee relies on the generosity of our community and particularly philanthropic groups like the Traralgon Masonic Lodge. Thank you to the member of the Lodge for continuing to support us in providing the best preventative care and positive life experience for our residents.
