On March 1st 2019 we all celebrated the incredible contribution Lorraine Bartling has made to Yallambee.
Late in 2018 and after an amazing 49 years of volunteer service on the Yallambee Board of Directors, Lorraine Bartling OAM decided to retire from her position.
In appreciation and celebration of Lorraine’s immense impact on Yallambee over these years the Yallambee Board of Directors and Executive hosted an afternoon of celebrations. It was wonderful to host so many familiar faces and local dignitaries to thank Lorraine for her time and efforts
All of us at Yallambee sincerely thank Lorraine for her vision so many years ago. Lorraine’s unflinching determination and drive has provided elderly people within our community with quality retirement and aged care accommodation, care and services at Yallambee.
Under Lorraine’s leadership today we are providing retirement living and residential aged care services to nearly 200 residents within this expansive aged care precinct. We proudly employ over 170 local people and support numerous staff annually to further their careers in the health care industry. We are pleased to announce that we will also be progressing the next stage of our building project from 1st July 2019 and rebuilding Acacia House bringing our total number of residents in Margery Cole from 104 to 120.
Yallambee was built by the community for the community and we continue embrace Lorraine’s vision by enabling our residents to live well and live the life they choose.
