Successful Capital Grant

Yallambee Traralgon Village for the Aged has been successful in the Federal Government 2018/2019 Aged Care Approvals Round for a Capital Grant to support for the upcoming Acacia building project due to begin 1 July 2019.

On the 6th of March, Federal Member for Gippsland, The Honourable  Darren Chester MP has announced $1.88 million for Yallambee to rebuild the final 16 residential aged care rooms from the old Acacia wing. This will bring total accommodation available to 120 beds across the Margery Cole Residential Aged Care Service.

Mr Chester’s press release confirms that he “has been working with the Yallambee board and management for several years sourcing funding to update the aged rooms to meet industry and community expectations. Mr Chester stated that he is “delighted” to announce this funding and the Yallambee board, executive, staff and residents alike are thrilled to hear this exciting news.
